XCMR’s CEO to present at the Building an In-Space Circular Economy Seminar, hosted by the Office of Space Commerce and NIST

February 13, 2025 | 9:30 – 12:30pm ET | Department of Commerce | Washington D.C.

Philadelphia, February 2, 2025 – XCMR’s CEO Rick Rasansky will participate in the Building an In-Space Circular Economy Seminar exploring the topic of sustainable practices for space exploration. The event includes roundtable discussions and moderated panels by industry experts. Rick will be part of the moderated panel Emerging Technologies for the In-Space Circular Economy and focus on novel technologies and how they shape the space economy. He will speak on the relevance of in-space biosafety and security. Full event agenda can be found here.

Biosafety is a critical component of an in-space economy because it ensures the protection of both human health and extraterrestrial environments from biological contamination, enabling sustainable and safe operations. By preventing the unintentional transfer of Earth-based organisms and safeguarding astronauts and equipment from potential biohazards, biosafety supports the resiliency of space missions and the integrity of future extraterrestrial habitats, whether on spacecraft, the moon, mars or beyond.”
– Rick Rasansky, XCMR Inc., CEO

This event brings together thought leaders to tackle challenges and opportunities in building sustainable practices for space exploration.
