XCMR is pleased to announce the appointment of Phil Heifetz as senior director of finance. Phil brings over 25 years of experience in finance and business development across the life sciences, medical devices, and healthcare IT sectors. His proven track record of securing funding, implementing successful business models, and driving growth will be a valuable asset to XCMR as we continue to innovate and expand.

A focus on making the boat go faster

Phil’s career has been dedicated to helping organizations “make the boat go faster” — a motto he adopted from the UK men’s 2000 gold medal Olympic rowing team. He has a keen eye for identifying and focusing on the key factors that drive success. Over his career, he has secured over $70 million in funding through venture capital financings, M&A, and licensing transactions. Phil has also successfully implemented a B2B SaaS model, resulting in a 4x increase in sales within four years. His experience spans both large and small organizations, where he has served in leadership roles such as CEO, CFO, and Chief Business Officer.

A unique blend of science and business acumen

Phil’s background in chemistry, coupled with his Wharton MBA in healthcare management, provides him with a unique understanding of the scientific and business aspects of the life sciences industry. He is skilled in financial modeling, pitch-deck development, contract negotiation, and IP management.

Passionate about driving growth

Phil is passionate about supporting organizations in exploring, planning, and executing growth opportunities across the life science and health tech spectrum. Through his consultancy, Narberth Ventures, he has guided early-stage companies on a wide range of projects, including financing, business growth, and operational model implementation.

At XCMR, Phil will play a key role in shaping the company’s financial strategy and supporting its continued growth. We are excited to welcome him to the team and look forward to his contributions.
