XCMR is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Douglas to its board of directors. Mr. Douglas brings a wealth of experience in the medical device industry, with particular expertise in digital health technologies and corporate governance.
Mr. Douglas has a proven track record of success in the medical device sector. He most recently served as the president and chief operating officer at ResMed, a global leader in cloud-connected medical devices and software solutions for respiratory disorders. In this role, he co-led ResMed with the CEO from the Office of the CEO, driving the company’s sustained growth through digital strategies, market and product expansion, and operational excellence. His deep understanding of the digital health landscape and experience in leading a major medical device company will be invaluable to XCMR.
Currently serving on the board of directors of Globus Medical Inc. and as a member of their Audit Committee, Mr. Douglas brings valuable expertise in corporate governance and financial oversight to XCMR. His insights into audit, risk and compliance oversight, information security, and Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) will be instrumental in guiding XCMR’s strategic decision-making and ensuring its continued growth and success.
Mr. Douglas’s experience extends beyond the U.S., having led ResMed’s Asia-Pacific operations and global supply chain. This international perspective, combined with his educational background in electrical engineering and computer science, provides him with a unique understanding of both the technical and business aspects of the medical device industry.
Throughout his career, Mr. Douglas has demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering innovation and improving patient care. His involvement with organizations such as EvoNexus, a non-profit technology incubator, highlights his dedication to supporting the next generation of healthcare technologies.
