“We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to present our work related to surgical site infection prevention at the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America’s 2025 Spring meeting. It was fascinating to learn about the systemic challenges faced by hospital epidemiologists. In particular, the delicate balance between individual patient care and environment management necessary to provide high quality medical care while simultaneously slowing the emergence of antimicrobial resistant organisms. We at XCMR are inspired and excited to use insights from this conference to further refine and optimize our UV-C based approaches to near-field infection prevention in alignment with the needs and goals of the broader hospital epidemiology community.”
