Christopher Jones, Chief Technology Officer at XCMR, is a design and technology engineer based in London with 17 years of experience in a diverse range of industries primarily covering engineering simulation, design, machine learning and visualization roles, but always pushing the boundaries of what is possible with technology. Using this skill set, he has worked on a wide array of projects from agricultural climate change, robotics for aged care, hanging light sculptures for Apple to autonomous concept cars and multi-billion dollar engineering projects across the world. He has been awarded patents in several fields as well as publishing and presenting at international conferences.
Chris brings his experience on numerous engineering projects to XCMR particularly from leading the engineering of the uVisor personal sterilization device which won the 2021 RadLaunch prize from the International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA). Chris was responsible for the overall technical development and direction for the project, leading with UV optical and fluid design coupled simulation in SPEOS/FLUENT.
Mr. Jones received his BEng (Chemistry) with Honors II.i (UK MSc Engineering equivalent) from Curtin University, Perth Australia. His training includes Solidworks CSWA certification, Python ML development, ANSYS CFX/FLUENT/SPEOS, StarCCM+ FLACS advanced explosion analysis, HAZOP leaders’ course, and Apollo root cause analysis.
