XCMR announces the appointment of Dr. Karl G. Linden as principal scientist of photobiology. Dr. Linden, The Mortensen Professor in Sustainable Development at the University of Colorado Boulder, brings 25+ years of experience investigating UV and advanced oxidation processes for water and wastewater treatment. His work focuses on innovative UV systems for disinfection and pathogen control, as well as sustainable water reuse technologies.
Dr. Linden has guided over $40 million in research expenditures, authored more than 190 peer-reviewed publications, and presented his findings globally. He has served as president of the International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA), Trustee of the Water Science and Research Division of the American Water Works Association, and associate editor of the Journal of the American Water Works Association.
Beyond academia, Dr. Linden consults for environmental engineering firms, water utilities, and governmental commissions. His expertise extends to serving as an expert witness in legal cases concerning water and wastewater treatment, contributing to XCMR’s mission to develop cutting-edge environmental solutions.
